Leveraging Dr. Guillaume Dupont's decade of expertise in cybersecurity, we anticipated that the new EU regulations, specifically the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), would impose significant documentation burden on IoT manufacturers. To tackle this challenge, we created Zealience.

Dr. Guillaume Dupont
Co-Founder & CEO
Guillaume holds a PhD in IoT cybersecurity. As a former Senior Security Expert at UL Solutions, he assisted IoT manufacturers in preparing for the RED DA by performing evaluations against product security standards such as ETSI EN 303 645 and IEC 62443-4-2. He contributed to the drafting of EN 18031 and trained a Notified Body for RED DA assessments. He previously worked at Forescout on medical device and automotive security and developed intrusion detection systems for in-vehicle networks. As a seasoned IoT vulnerability researcher, he disclosed CVEs found to Siemens Healthineers. His research on IoT security led him to obtain a US patent: He invented novel machine learning algorithms to enhance the accuracy of IoT device classification (US20220353153).
Miho Dupont
Co-Founder
Miho has a diverse skill set developed over eight years as an account manager and full-stack developer. At Expedia Group, she managed 120 key accounts, overseeing the entire sales cycle and gaining insights into effective go-to-market strategies for four years. After marrying Guillaume and relocating to Europe, she pursued her passion for computer science through self-directed online studies, completing courses like Codecademy's Front-End Engineer and Google's IT Support. With a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of Edinburgh, Miho blends her artistic talents with technical proficiency in modern programming languages, allowing her to create visually appealing and user-friendly software.

The RED DA entered into application. Many of our customers could meet this deadline and affix the CE marking to their devices, ensuring business continuity with peace of mind.
Z-CMS Commercial Launch
After months of relentless effort, Z-CMS v2.0 became ready for commercialization. Manufacturers could now utilize it for EN 18031 compliance. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our early customers who trusted us!
Publication of EN 18031
Following the publication of EN 18031, we started to implement the support for this series of standards, enhancing our offerings to better assist IoT manufacturers in EN 18031 compliance.
Z-CMS First Deployment at a Manufacturer
We successfully deployed Z-CMS v1.0 at a leading German manufacturer, enabling compliance with the UK PSTI and preparation for the RED DA. Over the following months, Z-CMS was deployed at additional manufacturers, where we gathered valuable feedback to refine our features for automating compliance tasks.
Zealience Foundation
Zealience GmbH was founded, inspired by the concept of “Resilience.” Our mission was to assist IoT manufacturers in complying with the Cyber Resilience Act, with the RED DA as our initial challenge.
Z-CMS R&D Started
We began the research and development of Z-CMS, creating the initial design and implementing the first prototype. In the absence of EN 18031 standards, we focused on ETSI EN 303 645, which was regarded as a leading interim standard in preparation for the RED DA.
